As you probably know, we´ve been covering the excellent 12" Dirty Edits series, from Paris based Dirty Soundsystem and DJ Pilooski, before. October 29th sees the release of Dirty Edits Vol.1, the first full length compilation of the best of these highly sought after edits, previously only available on very limited vinyl EP:s. In other words; a great chance to catch up if you´ve been sleeping on the hottest and dirtiest balearic/disco/funky/kraut stuff around. All the tracks have been released earlier, but the compilation also comes equipped with some brand new Pilooski wizardry; the smashing edit of the Pointer Sisters track Send Him Back, that´s being released later this fall on vinyl by small, and equally great, disco edit imprint Mindless Boogie, and the dark, psyched out edit of Michael Bundt´s The Brain Of Oscar Panizza. Dirty Edits Vol.1 and the Dirty Space Disco compilation, that was selected by Dirty Soundsystem and released on Tigersushi in June, are the two essentials this year and you should take my advice and get your hands on both of them as soon as you can.
