Odyssey is the excellent new EP from Woolfy, released on Rong music. Originally from London, Woolfy has been involved in a host of club nights and music projects since his move to L.A. in the 90's. He released an LP with Dan Hastie as Projections for Guidance recordings and has also worked with Plant Life, Orgone & Pharcyde. This new EP contains three great tracks, all with a slightly different style. Title track Odyssey is a great mid-tempo vocal track with lovely live bass, guitar licks and synth hooks. Second track 1987 is more uptempo and electronic, with great chunky beats, a bouncy bassline and some uplifting strings. On the flip side is the smooth groove of Two Far Gone, remixed by Carlos Hernandez. It's nine minutes of lazy, live sounding deep house, featuring some beautiful keyboard and guitar work. If you like a bit of funk in your music, you definitely need to check this EP out.Download: Woolfy - 1987.mp3 (Zshare)
