It´s all about disco today so I´ll be posting the Swedish stuff tomorrow. It´s worth waiting for, trust me. The new 12" from one of my favorite labels out there, RVNG Intl, landed in my inbox the other day and just like the previous releases in the labels´ edit series, entitled Rvng Of The Nrds, it´s extremely good, and the cover is just amazing. Earlier stuff on the label include nasty edits from Mock & Toof, Betty Botox and The Flying Squad (Tim Sweeney), as well as killer DJ mixes from NYC legends Mike Simonetti, Justine D and Tim Sweeney (again!). The music that comes out on RVNG is of course really good, but the thing that excites me the most is the creative cover designs. Each release comes with a handmade cover, often in a few different colors, and is strictly limited. When you have a million free Mp3:s just around the corner you gotta respect that some people still love the vinyl culture and add to it through ace releases like these. For the fourth edit installment, the RVNG guys hooked up with Andrew Lovefingers, the man behind one of the best sites for disco and the likes out there; Lovefingers.org, and the result is a journey deep into the realms of spacey disco and obscure funk. Download the massive track Kentucky (an edit of Diabolic Man - Diabolic Man) and keep your eyes open for more essential stuff from the RVNG camp in the future.

The mix of the day comes from Belgium and the mighty Aeroplane. If you check 24:hours every now and then, you know that we posted the Aeroplane remixes of Cobra Dukes and Das Pop, that the guys did for Prestel, a while ago. If you liked those remixes you can´t afford to miss out on Aeroplane´s own EP:s for Eskimo, both Aeroplane/Caramellas and the upcoming Pacific Air Race are killers and essential to any disco collection. I asked the guys about a mix a while ago and now when they had one ready they were kind enough to send it over. The Airspace mix is filled with lethal tracks only.
