Sally Shapiro´s album Disco Romance was one of the highlights of 2007, both among the music critics and people with a taste for sweet and danceable italo-esque pop. To celebrate the success of that release, the people behind the project (Sally Shapiro herself and DJ/producer Johan Agebjörn) and their label Paper Bag are now putting out two remixed versions of Disco Romance. April 16th sees the release of Remix Romance Vol.1, with remixes from heavyweight producers like Hans - Peter Lindstrøm, Tensnake, Junior Boys, JuanMacLean, Holy Fuck and Skatebård, among others. With an all-star line up like that and some strong original material you can´t really fail, can you? We´re especially feeling the mixes from the disco crew and our man Tensnake. If you act fast, you might still be able to cop his killer mix that he did for 24:hours some time ago. The second installment of the remix album will be out in June but we´ll come back to that later on. If you feel like buying some vinyl (and we know you do!) you should also check the double 12" that´s out on one of our favorite labels, Permanent Vacation (home of great artists like Lexx, Antena, Ilya Santana, Kathy Diamond, Woolfy and now Sally Shapiro), in May. It has got some of the remixes as well as a brand new original track, so don´t miss out on that either.

The only thing I´ve been listening to lately (well, almost the only thing) is Aeroplane and Kathy Diamond´s killer track Whispers. Both the original and the Hercules And Love Affair remix are so good it makes me cry. The 12" will be out in May on Eskimo and damn, I can´t wait. More Aeroplane related goodness that you need to get your hands on right now is their remix of the Low Motion Disco track Love, Love, Love part.1. Pure gold there as well. Aeroplane is smokin´ hot and to make the wait for the new stuff more bearable there is a brand new mix from them today. Unfortunately no tracklist yet, but the guys are working on it so hold on.
