The wait is over. Finally the Go Bang ! A Tribute to Arthur Russell is released. A magnificent release, Electric Minds. Yam Who?, Faze Action, My Tiger My Timing, Max Essa, Pocketknife and Ilija Rudman have spent the last few months recreating several of Arthur Russell's songs and the result is of course ace. Big up to Electric Minds for this release.

On the 27th of november Electric Minds and Lovebox present the tribute album launch party, massive line-up (klick flyer for bigger image) so don't miss out on that.

So, why not listen to one of the recreated track then? Here's a new version of Get Around To It remixed by Ray Burst and produced by Pocketknife.

Speaking about Kool DJ Dust, we just received a mix from Name In Lights, the guys behind the swedish label Feed. Their second release is a four track 12" called Ancient Astronauts and the producer behind it is...yes, Kool Dj Dust. If you liked the first release, Marathon/Autonight by Erik Wikström then you don't want to miss out on this one.
We've played the Name In Lights remix of Ancient Astronauts a couple of times in our djsets and it goes down really well every time. If this label continue to deliver releases like this it's a strong contender for label of the year for me. Be sure to grab a copy of this release when it's out, should be any day now.

It's been a while since we posted something from Kool DJ Dust , aka the swedish discoskweehiphopelectrocosmic dj & producer Daniel Savio. Last time we posted some tracks from his Disco Opera album and following on that same vibe he's delivering 53 minutes and 53 seconds of pure disco delight. Some great stuff included in the mix from Mr Dust. First one who mails me a correct tracklist wins a Disco Opera album, that's a promise.

I'm very glad to present some more music from Radiant Dragon. Not that long ago we posted the track Cloud Seeding, and now we're posting it again but remixed by Allez Allez. If you haven't checked their amazing blog, do it now. Second track is a Radiant Dragon remix of Laurel Halo, I have to admint I wasn´t familiar with his music earlier, but I sure am now. Enjoy !

As you may know we´re also heavily into the New York label RVNG, basically because they love vinyl and great music, and put all their energy into making the best sleeves ever for all their releases. November 11th sees the release of the new Pink Skull album entitled Endless Bummer on the label and to use their own words it´s all about "live disco/acid house w/occasional vocals and big globs of Orb/Cluster-esque ambience", in other words; right up our alley. Get the album when it´s out and if you have any doubts about the sleeves I told you about earlier have a look at the video below.

The making of Endless Bummer:

Endless Bummer promo video:
Our man Graeme Clark aka The Revenge from Glasgow is really productive at the moment and with a bunch of new productions of his own on labels such as Mule Musiq, MCDE and Permanent Vacation to name but a few, as well as loads of new remixes coming up the future looks really promising. Graeme recently did a nice mix for Buzzin´ Fly radio that you can download below, also be sure to check his brand new site out while you´re at it. Excellent stuff all the way through.

I´ve been meaning to post some Sir Billy stuff for a long time now but somehow I tend to forget it. It won´t happened again, I promise. Still, he´s been getting lots of love from many, many blogs all over the net and if you do a search I´ll promise you´ll find some of his excellent edits and mixes. Until next time enjoy this edit of Peter Tosh.

Bogdan Anghel got in touch and wanted to share some edits and I´m glad he did. These are nice reworks of classic tunes I´m sure many of you´ve heard. Head over to his soundcloud profile and listen to more tracks and give him some feedback and support folks.

I do believe this is the first time we´ve featured To Rococo Rot here at 24:hours but it´s certainly not the first time we´ve posted something from the Bangana camp. Combo delivers a new edit, this is a real treat and even though you´ve might not heard of To Rococo Rot before this is something I´m sure you want to listen to many times. Go buy the original by the way, it´s something special.

We´re back with some new music released on the mighty RVNG label, long time readers of this blog should know them quite well by now and hopefully bought a few of the releases we´ve praised over here. This time a trio from Stockholm makes their debut on the label, a trio that´s also been featured on twentyfourhours earlier and fast becoming a favourite among lots of music freaks around the globe. I´m of course talking about Swedish underground act Jackpot. The new release is called Rvng of the Nrds vol.9 and as always they´re very, very limited so grab yourself a copy right now.
